Mary did our engagement and wedding photos, and we just LOVED her! My husband is generally uncomfortable in front of a camera, but she really captured the essence of our relationship. For our engagement session, she scouted locations ahead of time, and was willing to hike and climb around in the bushes to get the perfect shot. Through the whirlwind of our wedding day, she also managed to photograph all of the little details and little moments that we would have likely forgotten otherwise. Mary is so fun to work with, and had our edited photos back to us super quickly.

I would recommend Mary to anyone, in fact after she photographed our engagement and wedding I did recommend her to a friend who used her for their reception. Mary is personable and professional. She is creative and has an eye for detail. We had never done professional photos before but she made it so easy and guided us thru it all. Not only was Mary a joy to work with, her photographs speak for themselves. I received so many compliments on our photos and they so beautifully captured the spirit of our special day. We would work with Mary again in a heartbeat!

Mary Gowen did our engagement and wedding photography for us. It's hard for me to talk about her without gushing! From our initial email conversations all the way to getting our photos, Mary was always professional, organized, and friendly.

Our engagement session was fun and reflected our personalities. My now-husband really doesn't like having his picture taken but Mary made us both feel at ease and made it a fun experience.

At our wedding, Mary captured all of our special moments in a beautiful way all day. From the big ones like the first kiss and first dance, to little ones like my in-laws dancing and my mom laughing. It was so nice to just focus on getting married and let Mary be creative and capture it all. You want someone you trust and feel comfortable with when you're putting on your dress, having your first look, signing your marriage license... and Mary is the perfect photographer for that.

And then, of course, she made us look really good.

Like I said, it's hard to talk about Mary without sounding like I'm gushing, but it's true! We LOVE our wedding and engagement pictures and Mary was a treat to work with!
